Oil seperators are produced as polyethylene material and achieve a 95% oil/waste retention efficiency in wastewater. Oil separators are produced with flow rate capacity from 0,2 lt./sec. up to 20 lt./sec. Also we can supply 3 different use option for separators. These options are undercounter, above ground and underground types.
Why Oil Separators Should Be Used?
Waste oils that reach seas and lakes form layers on the surface as they do not dissolve in water. This layer hampers the exchange of oxygen and heat between water and the atmosphere, eventually disrupting the life cycles of living organisms and causing significant harm to aquatic life and the ecological balance.
To prevent oils from buildings, cafes, industrial facilities, car services and washing stations from entering sewage systems and transforming into waste channels, it has become inevitable to implement measures for city life, in addition to industrial facility regulations.
Waste oils adhere to the inner surfaces of drainage systems, causing the pipes to narrow. Over time, the infrastructure of buildings and sewage systems becomes unusable, weakening the functions of wastewater treatment plants and causing both economic and environmental harm. Waste oils account for 25% of water pollution.
Thanks to oil separators systems, these oils can be separated, and the collected oils can be processed in recycling facilities to produce products like soap and fuel. In this way, it contributes to both the enviroment and the economy.
How Work Oil Separators?
Oil separators are designed to separate light weight liquids such as oil come from domestic and industrial waste water. Oil separators have a basic working principal.
In water, plant-based or animal based oils that do now disolve fully or partially, do not form a stable emulsion with water, and have density of less than 0,95 gr/cm3, are separated from the water by utilizing the density difference between oil and the water. This separation is based on a mechanical process. Water and oil separated mechanically, chemical separation or complete elimination of oils is not the case. The lighter oil with a lower density is separated and held on the surface of the oil trap. The reained oil is disposed of in accordance with regulations, while the separated grey water is directed to the sewage system.
In this way, the oil separators produced achieve a 95% oil/waste retention efficiency in wastewater.
